Future Transport Workshop - Presentations

Our 'Future Transport Workshop' was held on 22nd October and encouraged sustainability discussions amongst participants, who shared an interest in transport, land-use planning and associated technologies. This year we explored the theme, 'What would a decarbonised transport system look like?'

The presentations given by Professor Michael Taylor and Dr Gary Ellem are now available online.

Professor Michael Taylor, Emeritus Professor of Transport Planning, School of Natural & Built Environments, University of South Australia

Professor Taylor has 45 years experience in transport engineering practice, research and education. He is now Emeritus Professor of Transport Planning at the University of South Australia. Until late 2014 he was also Program Leader ‘Low carbon precincts’ in the CRC for Low Carbon Living.

Presentation available here.

Dr Gary Ellem, Tom Farrell Institute, University of Newcastle NSW

Dr Ellem is a sustainability futurist working mainly in the areas of transport, energy and regional innovation. He identifies system scale opportunities which combine technology, business, regulatory and social innovation.
