Joinery still going strong

Reports of 111 Franklin Street going up for sale have been overblown in this weekend's media. We're still going strong!

In Saturday’s Advertiser, an article revealed that an Expression of Interest process is set to begin next month for 111 Franklin Street, where the Joinery is located.

We have been assured by Adelaide City Council (who own the site) that this is just the start of a long and detailed sale process.

Our head lease for the site continues until the end of 2024, and Adelaide City Council has indicated that they are commencing the EOI process now to increase the likelihood the sale process will have concluded by then.

While Adelaide City Council does have the right to give us six months’ notice to vacate earlier, they have indicated this is unlikely at this stage.

As soon as we hear anything more from ACC, we will let you know.

In the meantime, we are confident the Joinery will still be able to fully operate as usual, and we intend to make sure that the venue is well advertised and well supported.

We love having you as part of our Joinery ‘family’, and we intend to make sure this special place continues to make hay while the sun shines!
