Campfire Stories is about people coming together and sharing a yarn and a bite to eat. Be prepared to be entertained and inspired by extraordinary true tales from ordinary Australians!
How it works: Come along and share a 5 minute true story related to the night's theme of "Belonging", or sit back and enjoy the stories on offer.
Campfire Stories is inspired by the premise that everyone has interesting life stories. These days though we rarely have the chance to hear stories from our own communities. So we are providing the space for you to share in stories from your own community. The aim is that we will co-create a night of entertainment, good food and the opportunity to meeting interesting people.
For the brave the challenge is to share a true 5 minute story about the night's theme of "Belonging". Notions of community and home can be elusive things. The place we live might not be the place we belong. Where and when have you felt most connected to people or place? Where do you belong?
There is no pressure to speak in front of the audience. People are just as welcome to come and listen to other people's stories.
After all stories have been told then you will have a chance to share your reactions and thoughts.
The night will close with a shared supper so please bring a plate to share.
Entry is optional $5 donation at the door.
Event is open to all ages.
