With a great range of versatile function and event spaces, The Joinery offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere that's comfortable, functional and friendly. We're not your average event venue!

The Joinery offers three flexible spaces that have already hosted a wide range of events including film nights, meetings, workshops, festivals, exhibitions, markets, dance classes, award ceremonies, networking events, seminars and performances.

Catering is a breeze with our preferred onsite caterer The Depot Collective Cafe, and - coming soon! - you'll be able to hire our community garden area, which will be great for networking events, fundraising film evenings, cocktail parties or summer barbecues in our urban oasis.

OUR SPACES

Exhibition Space

The Exhibition Space on the ground floor is a large, flexible, open plan area ideal for events and larger workshops.

Room configuration/accommodation:

  • theatre style - 120
  • long tables - 80
  • workshop tables - 60
  • cocktail - 230

The room has a stage available, lectern, projector that is strong enough for day time, a large projector screen, AV equipment including microphones that can be hired for use with the room. The Exhibition Space can be hired individually or additionally with the Seminar Room as a breakout space. 

The Exhibition Space is open to the public from 9 - 5, Monday to Saturday but is still available for hire during these periods (contact our Joinery Coordinator on 8223 5155 or venuehire@thejoinery.org.au if you wish to hire the space during these times).

Seminar Room

The Seminar Room on the ground floor is a medium-size, flexible, open plan area ideal for meetings and presentations.

Room configuration/accommodation:

  • theatre style - 45
  • u-shaped workshop tables - 20
  • classroom tables - 25
  • cocktail - 70

The room has a ceiling projector in place which can be hired for use with the room.

The Seminar Room can be hired individually or additionally with the Exhibition Space as a breakout space. The room is enclosed with cafe-style glass doors that lead into the Exhibition Space.

The Boardroom

The Boardroom on the top floor is ideal for meetings of up to 10 people. 

A conference call phone and projector is available for hire. 

Please note there is not disabled access to the Boardroom.

Did you also know that booking an event at The Joinery is a win for all? You get a great central venue with friendly staff and volunteers; and your support helps us as a not-for-profit to give back to our community. Proceeds received from bookings made at The Joinery and through catering from our onsite cafe, go back into supporting The Joinery's community environment space and Conservation SA, the peak environment body for South Australia.
