Just Mend It! Machine-free mending

Hand Mending Workshops - Fix your ripped jeans or revitalise an old favourite.

Do you have a stash of clothes that are too long, too short or need some TLC?  We’ll help you get your wardrobe malfunctions back onto your bods in no time.

Join Mary Heath as she teaches you basic hand sewing methods to tackle repairing a ripped seam, sewing on a button, fixing a cuff, reviving a hem and disguising holes, stains, tears and burns.  Ideal for beginners or those looking to revise their skills. No prior sewing experience required. Men are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Bring along your own garment for mending. Thread, fabric, tools and an iron will be provided, but please do feel free to bring anything you think would be useful in mending your clothes: matching thread or fabric, a patch you'd like to use, or the button that fell off, if you can find it!

$10 per session, includes a mending kit made up of pre-loved and stashed materials.

Supported by the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges Natural Resources Management Board.
